The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is excited to announce the launch of two simultaneous global initiatives aimed at building a comprehensive repository of AI-driven solutions geared towards sustainable development.
First Initiative: Innovative AI Solutions
We invite you to submit your creative AI use cases that are making a positive impact across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Exceptional submissions may be showcased at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, taking place from 30-31 May 2024. Participants will also have the opportunity to win mentoring, prizes, and valuable resources!
Second Initiative: Become an AI for Good Scholar
We are also accepting applications for the AI for Good Scholars program. Selected scholars will collaborate closely with the ITU to develop, analyze, and enhance AI use cases tailored for the SDGs. These scholars will receive funding to attend the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, gaining recognition and mentorship along the way.
These global initiatives have received support from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China, furthering our mission to cultivate an inclusive AI community for sustainable development among the 27,000 members of AI for Good.
Who Should Apply?
This call for submissions is open to a wide range of contributors including Academia and Research Entities, Startups, Industry Professionals, Policymakers, Government Bodies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Organizations, and Individual Innovators.
The application deadline is 31 March 2024.
