Gcore Joins Forces with UbiOps and Graphcore to Supercharge AI Development Teams

Gcore Partners with UbiOps and Graphcore to Enhance AI Teams

Gcore has teamed up with UbiOps and Graphcore to launch an innovative service that addresses the growing needs of modern AI applications. This strategic alliance aims to provide AI teams with access to powerful computing resources on demand, thereby boosting their operational capabilities and efficiency.

This collaboration merges the expertise of three industry frontrunners: Graphcore, known for its Intelligence Processing Units (IPUs); UbiOps, a robust machine learning operations (MLOps) platform; and Gcore Cloud, recognized for its dependable cloud infrastructure. By harnessing these advanced technologies, Gcore Cloud allows AI teams to seamlessly integrate IPUs for specific tasks while taking advantage of UbiOps’ MLOps features, including model versioning, governance, and monitoring.

André Reitenbach, CEO of Gcore, stated, “The collaboration between Gcore, Graphcore, and UbiOps offers a smooth experience for AI teams. Users can effortlessly utilize Gcore’s cloud infrastructure alongside Graphcore’s IPUs within the UbiOps platform. This integration enables teams to leverage the exceptional computational power of IPUs tailored for their AI projects. Additionally, UbiOps provides MLOps features such as model versioning and monitoring that facilitate quicker deployment of AI solutions while optimizing resource costs through on-demand hardware resizing. We’re excited about the potential of this partnership to drive success in AI projects.”

To showcase the advantages of IPUs over other computing devices, Gcore performed benchmarking tests utilizing CPUs, GPUs, and IPUs. They trained a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) designed for image analysis using the CIFAR-10 dataset, which includes 60,000 labeled images. The results revealed a remarkable performance boost, with IPUs and GPUs significantly surpassing CPUs in training speed. Even with minimal optimization, IPUs demonstrated a superior training time compared to GPUs.

This collaboration provides AI teams with exclusive access to high-performance hardware specifically designed for intensive AI and machine learning workloads. By merging Gcore Cloud, Graphcore’s IPUs, and UbiOps’ MLOps platform, teams can enhance their efficiency, reduce costs, and scale their resources as needed. Together, this offering empowers AI initiatives to unlock their maximum potential, fostering innovation in the AI sector. With this strategic partnership, Gcore, Graphcore, and UbiOps are set to make advanced resources more accessible, enabling AI teams globally to achieve their objectives.
