Google Cloud Announces Imagen 2 Text-to-Image Generator

Google Cloud has launched Imagen 2, an enhanced version of its text-to-image generation capabilities. This tool is available for Vertex AI customers who are on the allowlist, enabling them to create photorealistic images using user-friendly tools and fully-managed infrastructure.

Developed with technology from Google DeepMind, Imagen 2 delivers improved image quality and functionality tailored to various specific needs. Key features include:

• Diverse Image Generation: Imagen 2 excels at producing high-resolution images from natural language prompts, catering to a wide array of user needs.
• Text Rendering in Multiple Languages: The tool successfully addresses common challenges, providing accurate text rendering across various languages.
• Logo Generation: Businesses can utilize Imagen 2 to create realistic logos, which can be overlaid on products, clothing, business cards, and more.
• Captions and Question-Answering: With advanced image comprehension, Imagen 2 can generate descriptive captions and offer detailed answers regarding image content.
• Multi-Language Support: The tool currently includes six additional languages in preview, with plans for further expansions in early 2024, allowing for translation between prompts and outputs.
• Safety Measures: Imagen 2 integrates built-in safety precautions aligned with Google’s Responsible AI principles, including safety filters and digital watermarking to ensure responsible usage.
