Google Committed to Addressing Bias in Gemini’s Image Generation

Google’s Gemini model has recently faced criticism for producing historically inaccurate and racially biased images, sparking renewed debates over bias in AI technologies. Bindu Reddy, CEO of Abacus.AI, echoed the sentiment regarding the dangers of proprietary models dominating the landscape. She expressed concern that without open-source large language models (LLMs), society risks having a distorted historical narrative as proprietary models may prioritize certain perspectives over others.
