Dubai, UAE – February 7, 2025: Following an exhilarating series of insightful debates, stimulating discussions, and groundbreaking exhibits, Ai Everything Global 2025 concluded on a high note in the UAE, reinforcing its position as the ultimate hub for AI innovation.
Hosted by the Dubai World Trade Centre and KAOUN International in collaboration with GITEX GLOBAL, Ai Everything Global stands out as the largest and most thought-provoking AI event of the year. The 2025 edition wrapped up in style after two action-packed days across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, earning acclaim for delving into cross-continental AI transformation, significant market shifts, and the technology’s boundless potential.
Live from the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City, a distinguished lineup of world-leading experts explored AI’s role in aligning technological advancement with societal benefits. Panels filled to capacity allowed guest speakers to unravel the complexities surrounding nations’ data sovereignty while providing top-tier AI education, training, and career pathways.
Fueling Conversations, Shaping the Future
Alessio Bagnaresi, Vice President of AI – Technology MEA at Oracle, discussed the crucial importance of Sovereign AI for nations, positioning the UAE as a model for global emulation. He emphasized: “Sovereign AI is a strategic necessity. It’s essential for countries to ensure their data sets and algorithms are free from foreign biases, reflecting their cultural nuances and heritage while bolstering the knowledge economy. The most valuable asset in any organization or nation is its people – and the UAE is leveraging AI to empower its citizens, foster a thriving nation, and stimulate economic diversification.”
Besides Sovereign AI, the discussion around ethical and equitable AI also took center stage. As per a recent ITU report, about one-third of the global populace lacks internet access, indicating substantial hurdles that must be overcome to achieve a future where AI is universally accessible.
Rima Manna, VP Network Infrastructure Middle East & UAE Country Director at Nokia, stated: “AI must be perceived as a fundamental human right. The potential of this technology is immense. Therefore, we must connect the unconnected and serve the underserved through a collaborative ecosystem that fosters AI literacy and multi-industry partnerships, ultimately making AI accessible to everyone.”
Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President Commercial at TECOM Group, also highlighted the significance of localization alongside nationwide educational initiatives. He remarked, “Community involvement in AI is crucial. For equitable AI, educational institutions and programs have to thrive alongside a network of like-minded companies. For instance, the UAE boasts various initiatives and training programs that are reskilling millions. Education is vital, and so is localization; we cannot enforce a universal solution globally – every country must develop AI systems tailored to them, backed by exceptional education and ecosystems that support growth and development.”
Capitalizing on a $15.7 Trillion Opportunity
During an era where AI is reshaping industries, projected to add $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030 (PWC), the World AI Leaders Conference was a key highlight, underscoring the substantial benefits of strategically integrating advanced AI technologies into operations worldwide.
With nations striving for socio-economic transformation through AI, Stephen Burt, Chief Data Officer for the Government of Canada, shared insights into Canada’s approach to utilizing AI across its public sector.
He noted: “Our vision of AI in the Canadian public sector is founded on a principled, human-centered, collaborative, and responsible approach. We aim to be future-proof in the AI domain, partnering with diverse groups—including commercial entities, academic and research institutions, labor organizations, indigenous communities, and more—to ensure that citizens are involved in the AI initiatives we introduce.”
Moreover, over 500 AI-driven enterprises and startups showcased their most innovative hands-on applications at Ai Everything Global. Among them, e&, a global leader in telecom and technology, is leveraging AI and strategic alliances for network optimization, digital transformation, smart cities, cybersecurity, and business automation.
Amit Gupta, Vice President of AI, Advanced Analytics, and CVM at e&, UAE, revealed: “Through e& enterprise, we have launched over 200 AI use cases across sectors like banking, insurance, and public services. Currently, approximately 80% of these use cases still utilize traditional AI, while around 15% to 20% leverage Gen AI. We are beginning to see significant benefits, particularly from the customer experience perspective.”
