DeepMind Co-Founder Mustafa Suleyman Launches New AI Venture
Mustafa Suleyman, the co-founder of DeepMind, has teamed up with two other notable industry leaders to establish a new business named Inflection AI. Alongside Suleyman is Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, who expressed enthusiasm about their collaboration.
Suleyman stated, “Reid and I are thrilled to announce that we are co-founding a new company, Inflection AI.” This venture is designed to be an AI-centric consumer products company, supported by Greylock, a prestigious venture capital firm.
Dr. Karén Simonyan, another former DeepMind expert, has joined as the chief scientist and third co-founder. Suleyman praised Simonyan’s credentials, noting his PhD from Oxford, the development of VGGNet, and contributions to key projects like AlphaZero and AlphaFold.
Inflection AI aims to innovate in the fields of machine learning and natural language processing. Suleyman emphasized, “Recent advancements in AI have the potential to radically change how we interact with machines.” He envisions a future where humans can communicate with computers using natural, conversational language, which will transform digital experiences.
