Revolutionizing AI and Blockchain: Fetch.ai Teams Up with Deutsche Telekom

Fetch.ai and Deutsche Telekom Collaborate to Merge AI and Blockchain

Deutsche Telekom has announced a partnership with the UK-based AI startup Fetch.ai to advance innovative AI and blockchain technologies. As the first significant corporate collaborator with the Fetch.ai Foundation, Deutsche Telekom aligns itself with Bosch and Fetch.ai to enhance an open AI and blockchain platform aimed at fostering broader adoption. Its subsidiary, Deutsche Telekom MMS, is set to operate as a validator within the decentralised Fetch.ai network, securing transactions on the blockchain.

Fetch.ai’s technology is centred around autonomous software agents capable of managing resources, performing transactions, and independently analysing data flows using AI algorithms. These agents facilitate numerous real-world applications in fields such as automotive, supply chain, healthcare, and digital identity. For instance, AI agents can optimize production schedules based on supply chain insights or assist in matching patients with clinical trials via health records. The immutable nature of blockchain ensures secure transmission and access to sensitive data.

Dirk Röder, Head of Deutsche Telekom’s Web3 Infrastructure & Solutions team, stated, “The convergence of blockchain, AI, and IoT is driving the digital transformation of entire industries. Autonomous agents will automate industrial services, simplifying processes securely thanks to blockchain.” With Deutsche Telekom MMS acting as a validator, the secure network will support the integration of increasing devices and users with the Fetch.ai blockchain. Operating on the Cosmos protocol, Fetch.ai is a permissionless decentralised network, featuring global access through open-source code.

This collaboration illustrates how blockchain can enhance AI by providing trustworthy, transparent data, while AI contributes to the secure analysis of blockchain transactions. Together, these technologies are setting the groundwork for a decentralised Web3 internet that enhances user privacy and control. “This partnership demonstrates significant progress in merging AI and Web3 innovations within the machine economy,” commented Fetch.ai CEO Humayun Sheikh.

Deutsche Telekom and Fetch.ai will collaborate at one of Europe’s largest AI and IoT hackathons, Bosch Connected Experience, scheduled for February 28-29, 2024.

For those interested in exploring further developments in AI and big data, the AI & Big Data Expo is taking place in locations such as Amsterdam, California, and London. This comprehensive event will be co-located with notable events like BlockX, Digital Transformation Week, and the Cyber Security & Cloud Expo.
